DESCRIPTION:Our monthly meeting featuring a talk of a month about orchids followed by some refreshments and the orchid table show discussion. Members aso regularly bring some orchids along to sell or give away to other members. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Speaker of the Month: Mike Armstrong \n\n\n\nMike Armstrong is a former Marine Engineer who transitioned to professional orchid cultivation in the mid-nineties. With around forty years of experience in growing orchids\, Mike has a particular expertise in Cattleya species\, having held the National Collection for fifteen years. He co-founded Mikandra Orchids with his wife\, Sandra\, and is a long-standing member of the East Midlands Orchid Society. Currently\, Mike maintains a diverse collection of orchids in two greenhouses\, showcasing his extensive knowledge and passion for these unique plants. \n\n\n\nTalk Title: Cattleya Species and Hybrids \n\n\n\nTalk Summary: \n\n\n\nIn this presentation\, Mike Armstrong will share his extensive knowledge on Cattleya species and hybrids.
